Hypnosis for Motivation

In our society today, we can all agree there is tension, stress, a lot of competition and many are searching for avenues to motivate themselves to achieve their goals.

In my experience, one such avenue is using Hypnosis for motivation.  It`s a very simple and easy technique and quickly becoming a popular choice for many.

There are several reasons for using hypnosis for motivation. The first and most important is to gain control over the mind. It’s very difficult to get things done when your mind is wandering, and it’s even more difficult to set goals or achieve them if you’re not even fully present in the moment.

The first technique you’ll work on when you start using hypnosis for motivation is your relaxation and concentration skills.

This is typically done by finding a comfortable spot that is free from the many distractions of everyday life.

Once you’re comfortable, you start to pay attention to the breath or focus on an object.  When doing this you may notice that your mind constantly wanders through numerous thoughts each waking moment.

The key here is to start entering a state of relaxation and you can do this by mentally cycling through your body and relaxing each part.  And if a thought pops into your head, acknowledge it and let it go.

Once you’ve attained a state of deep relaxation you’re ready to move onto the visualizations. This of course will vary for whatever your goals and desires are, but the basis is to get familiar with the feeling that achieving the goals would bring about and the feelings you need to take the required actions.

So let’s say your goal is to run a marathon. An effective visualization would be to go over the entire race from start to finish and try to experience firsthand what it will feel like when you finally reach the finish line and see your family cheering and proud. The secret here, is that you not only think about the finish line, but also think about how you want to feel throughout the race.

This is just one of many possible scenarios of using hypnosis for motivation, so get creative and see what you can come up with.

If your goals are more business oriented then maybe you can picture yourself as the CEO or high ranking member of the company. In addition you could picture yourself conducting board room meetings or giving speeches about how you attained your success. Imagine yourself feeling confident, effective, ambitious and charismatic.

Hypnosis for motivation is an art so make it fun and enjoyable and you will soon see results. Remember, the more often you do it, the better effect it will have on you.
